BRACE wanted their new website to help them raise the profile of the charity, reinforce their credibility, generate funds, attract new supporters and facilitate grant applications from researchers.

The new site helped them achieve all of these goals with a combination of mobile first designs, well-planned user journeys, an easy-to-use back-end and fundraising functionality that allowed them to make it a genuine income generation vehicle.

They have seen their online donations increase almost 8x from £25 a day to £200 a day, raising £60, 000 in their first year since going live. In terms of user engagement they also increased the number of website users by 82%, page views by 75% and increased the number of first time visits by 9%.

Key Goals Achieved:

  • Increased online donations 8x from £25 a day to over £200 a day, raising over £60,000 in first year via the website. This accounted for over 7.5% of total charitable (up from just 1% prior to the website being built).
  • Increased website users by 82%, page views by 75% and number of first time visits by 9%.

“Our new website has had an immediate and very positive impact. Donations increased immediately after launch, with a very sharp uplift in the final seven weeks before Christmas. We are also seeing more engagement with supporters because of the fundraising pages. Perhaps the most important benefit though, is the confidence it gives us that we have a strong platform for all our online activity.  We know it looks good, and the feedback has been great”
