The Old Royal Naval College had set themselves the ambitious target of raising over £1m for their Future Fund by June 30th 2016 to help continue their conservation, community and educational work.

However, they recognised that to do that they would have to increase the amount of donations they received from the public and that their current website was not fit for purpose. It was not mobile responsive, directed supporters to third parties to make donations and lacked the functionality for creating online appeals.

Key Goals Achieved:

  • Generated over £45, 000 of income through the website.
  • Increased traffic by almost 2x in first 3 months since site went live
  • Increased proportion of traffic coming through mobile devices.
  • Achieved Future Fund income target ahead of deadline.

"The new website has transformed our online offering. The support from the team is exemplary and the platform is being constantly developed to cope with our own and our visitor’s needs. I would recommend Raising IT to any charity that wants to develop their digital presence and work with an outstanding team."

The Transform Foundation funding allowed them to redevelop their website and launch several online appeals and events, including their highly successful Sponsor A Square Foot fund. As a result, they generated over £45, 000 of online income through online appeals and events tickets. The increase in public donations allowed them to reach their Future Fund target ahead of their deadline.

In addition to this, they almost doubled the amount of traffic they received on the site within the first 3 months of going live and increased the proportion of traffic that was coming via tablet and mobile devices.
